The Executive Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Chief Solomon Ighrakpata, has joined family, friends, and well-wishers across Delta State in celebrating the 70th birthday anniversary of the Unuevworo Etche r’ Oriokpor of Ekpan, Chief (Barr.) Otomiewo Victor Duro.
In a heartfelt goodwill message, Ighrakpata described Chief Otomiewo as a rare embodiment of wisdom, scholarship, and selfless service, whose life has been dedicated to the progress of Uvwie Kingdom and Delta State.
“At 70, Chief Otomiewo stands as a living archive of our history, a custodian of our traditions, and a moral compass for our people. As a distinguished legal practitioner, his counsel has guided leaders, his generosity has uplifted families, and his commitment to peace has kept our communities united,” Ighrakpata said.
The DSIRS boss highlighted Chief Otomiewo’s role in strengthening traditional institutions in Ekpan and across Uvwie Kingdom. He noted that under his leadership as Unuevworo, the community has witnessed greater unity, cultural preservation, and stability, even amid the challenges of modern governance.
“Chief Otomiewo not only preserves our heritage; he also interprets it for the present generation. He bridges the gap between tradition and progress, ensuring that our values remain relevant in shaping the future of Uvwie,” he added.
Ighrakpata also acknowledged the celebrant’s contributions to education and youth mentorship, describing him as a scholar whose personal example has inspired many young people in Uvwie to pursue knowledge and public service.
He expressed gratitude to God for preserving Chief Otomiewo’s life and granting him sound health, clarity of mind, and continued relevance at 70.
